Aventura Lodge is where we stayed for much of our time on Santa Cruz Island (the rest of the time, we spent at the Divers Lodge).

I loved the Aventura Lodge! When we arrived I was feeling tired from the trip. But when mom and I went out on the deck that all went away. Here’s what happened:

We were waiting to be checked-in. And just as I was getting a little bored, mom and I decided to go out-back to look at the water and see what we could find.

Well, what a find! We went around the corner and there were 2 sea lions on the deck! They were sooo cute!

Then we turned around the other corner and what do you think we saw? A wharf covered in sally lightfoot crabs. They were everywhere! Then dad came out and said that we were checked-in and we went up to our room.

The room was very clean and organized. One thing I thought was really neat was that they had glass bottles in the walls – right in the cement. The beds were really comfortable and the bathroom was big (not like some places where you dread going to the bathroom, because you can barely move). We were a little tired so we lazed around for maybe an hour. And then we went downstairs to get some lunch.

That buffet is amazing!!!! It had everything. As soon as we walked in, what a smell! My mouth began to water. The food was so good. They had a very big selection and there was cake! Very important to a growing girl. :) They even had cake with breakfast!

I love cheese. I will eat it with almost anything and I love trying different kinds. Lucky for me, they had a huge selection of different cheeses. Yum! And for those of you who love sushi, they have a sushi bar. I’m not a big fan of sushi, but I did like the salmon.

So as you can see, the Red Mangrove Lodges are a great way to travel in the Galapagos. I think that they helped me to enjoy a better Galapagos experience. I hope that you will be able to travel to the Galapagos and enjoy the luxurious Red Mangrove Lodges as well.

Thank you for reading, and, as always, happy travels!

One Response to Galapagos For Kids: What I Loved About Aventura Lodge

One day, a day I wish would come sooner, my husband and I will take our two travel-adventure loving girls to experience all that the Galapagos has to offer. Saving our pennies. Oh. No, wait. We are in Canada. It’ll have to be nickels now!
