Until earlier this month, I had only seen marine iguanas feeding underwater on television.

Marine iguanas are unique, because they are the only seafaring iguanas. Learn more facts about marine iguanas.

While visiting Floreana Island earlier this month, we got to see marine iguanas feeding underwater – in shallow tidal pools. While we filmed just one, there were dozens of large adults sunning on the rocks. In the photo, you can see the setting. Check out the video, below the photo.
