The wildlife of the Galapagos is one of the biggest reasons to visit. And right from your first day on the islands, you won’t be disappointed.

This weeks photo is from a trip we took last week to a great place call Playa Escondida (meaning Hidden Beach) just a short boat ride from the Aventura Lodge on Santa Cruz Island.

In this photo, there is one mature and two juvenile Blue Footed Boobies, a marine iguana and countless Sally Lightfoot crabs. On this section of rocks, there were a total of 5 Boobies, more than 20 marine iguanas and hundreds of crabs. We also saw a Lava Heron, a couple of Green Sea Turtles and a White Tipped Reef Shark.
