Swimming with sea lions is an unforgettable experience.

Here is where we snorkeled with a sea lion on Floreana Island. It is a small beach just before La Loberia, a secluded beach where sea lions raise their young.

The entrance into the water is white sand. The black lava rock – both close to shore and further off-shore is great for seeing marine life and can be easily avoided while snorkeling. The water is calm and clear.

To the left of the beach, the sea lion raced around young children. The snorkel with sea lion video was filmed in about 4 feet (1.2 meters) of water.
