In 1995 Polo Navarro, naturalist guide of the Galapagos Islands since 1978 starts building his home within the existing mangrove forest. A couple of years later the second part of the building starts to take shape and the Red Mangrove Aventura Lodge emerges by the sea and surrounding forest. In the beginning only 4 bedrooms form part of this building, by 2007 it had grown to 12 bedrooms.
In May 2007 the Red Mangrove Inn is sold to its actual owners, whom in order to preserve the environment and increase comfort for its guests develop a goal strategy to accomplish such task. Extensive rebuilding and new constructions have taken place inside the terrain property of the Red Mangrove Lodge, always preserving the already existing forest and architecture design, 2 extra bedrooms have been added, and many renovations in bathrooms, rooms, restaurant, kitchen and back of the house have been performed.
The respect for the environment is a top priority in the new administration adding of alternative technologies, treatment of gray and black waters, training of local labor for the different areas are apart of everyday management of this unique place in Galapagos.
So we want to invite you to be part of this experience in one of the wonders of nature, the Galapagos Islands.
