The Red Mangrove Dive Academy is slated to be completed and ready for its grand opening in the second half of 2012 and is at 60% completion as of today.
This ambitious project will bring to the Galapagos Islands the first state of the art dive training facility with all the modern amenities, safety standards, and world class service that clients of Red Mangrove have come to expect in the Galapagos Islands.
With a site of 8,611 square feet (800 square meters) and 6,888 square feet (640 square meters) under roof, the Red Mangrove Dive Academy will certainly be the largest dive training center in Ecuador, the Galapagos, and one of the largest in South America.
The Red Mangrove Dive Academy boasts modern and comfortable class rooms for up to 40 students, his and hers changing rooms, lockers, patio/juice bar, large and modern repair center, retail store for parts and new diving equipment, and a state of the art Commercial Nitrox Maker with Cascade system custom built by Brownies in Fort Lauderdale Florida. Brownies is world renowned for their work with custom compressors and Nitrox systems on some of the world’s most luxurious yachts and dive centers.
The highlight to the Red Mangrove Dive Academy is every Scuba Instructors dream, a 6 meter deep training pool.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project as Red Mangrove rolls out new all inclusive packages for divers who want to take classes from the beginner level to professional level and most any specialty certification in between. Red Mangrove will also be making some special concessions to Dive Instructors who wish to bring their students out and combine an amazing land and sea adventure in the Galapagos Islands.
